What IELTS score do you need for Louisiana Tech University?

Accepted proofs are TOEFL 550 paper-based, 80 on the iBT, iBT Home Edition or iBT Paper Edition, or 8.5 on TOEFL Essentials; IELTS 6.5 over four modules; Duolingo 105; PTE 58; or an ELS Level 112 certificate. Each official score must be sent from the testing organisation (Duolingo through your account) and cannot be more than two years old. Applicants must also check their own program's test requirements. Louisiana Tech treats listed countries as majority native English-speaking and does not require proof from them. The list includes Australia, Cameroon, Canada (except Quebec), Ireland, Kenya, New Zealand, Nigeria, Singapore, South Africa, Uganda and the UK. Ghana, India, Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh are not on it.

First-year applicants meet the English requirement with a high school curriculum taught in English, SAT EBRW 500, English Accuplacer 250, or an English test: TOEFL iBT 4.5 (79 before 2026), IELTS 6.5, Duolingo 100 or PTE 50.
