Age questions with sample answers

1

What is your favorite age?

Honestly, I think my current age is my favourite. I have finally reached a stage where I feel genuinely comfortable in my own skin, and I have enough financial independence to pursue my hobbies without needing to ask for permission or rely on anyone else.

2

How do you feel about getting older?

It is a bittersweet experience, to be fair. While I am not particularly thrilled about the physical toll that ageing takes on the body, I really appreciate the mental clarity and the sense of perspective that only comes with accumulating more life experience over the years.

3

How did you feel as a child?

Looking back, I remember feeling incredibly carefree and imaginative. My days were entirely occupied by playing outside with friends until sunset, completely oblivious to the pressures of adulthood or the complexities of the real world that seem to define my life today.

4

Are you happy to be the age you are now?

I am quite content with my current age. It feels like the sweet spot between having the youthful energy to stay active and the maturity to make sensible decisions, which allows me to balance my professional responsibilities with a fulfilling social life.

5

When you were a child, did you think a lot about your future?

Surprisingly, I rarely gave it much thought back then. I was far too preoccupied with the immediate joy of school holidays and weekend activities to worry about career paths or long-term goals, preferring to live entirely in the moment rather than planning ahead.

6

Do you think you have changed as you have got older?

Certainly, I have undergone a significant personal transformation. I have become much more resilient and patient compared to my younger self, having learnt how to navigate difficult situations with a level head rather than reacting impulsively to every minor setback I encounter.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.

Usually about ten to twelve, over four to five minutes: a few on your work, study or home, then three or four short questions on each of two everyday topics.

Two or three sentences, about 15 to 20 seconds: a direct answer, a reason and one detail. One-word answers cost fluency marks, and long speeches eat into the examiner's time.
