Autumn questions with sample answers

1

Do you like autumn?

Yes, definitely. It's actually my favourite time of year because the scorching summer heat finally subsides, and everything feels much fresher. I particularly love seeing the leaves turn golden and red in the public park near my flat.

2

What is the weather usually like in autumn where you live?

Well, it tends to be quite crisp and changeable. In September, we still get plenty of pleasant, sunny afternoons, but by late November, it becomes rather chilly and overcast, so I usually have to dig out my heavier knitwear and a waterproof jacket.

3

What kinds of outdoor activities do you enjoy during this season?

I mostly just like going for brisk walks at the weekend. There's a scenic woodland area about twenty minutes from my home, and hiking along the trails when the ground is covered in fallen leaves is incredibly relaxing. It's great for clearing my head.

4

Did you do anything special in autumn when you were younger?

Not especially, but I do remember collecting conkers and acorns on the way home from primary school with my brother. We'd often spend hours sorting through them in the garden and playing silly games before it got too dark outside.

5

Do you prefer autumn or spring?

To be honest, I'd say autumn edges it for me. While spring has lovely blooming flowers, it can be a bit humid and unpredictable. Autumn just has a cosy vibe that I really appreciate, especially sitting indoors with a hot drink on a rainy evening.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
