My preference usually leans towards historical fiction because I enjoy learning about past eras through a character's perspective. It brings dry facts to life in a way that standard textbooks simply cannot manage, making the information stick in my memory.
Certainly, it is one of my favourite pastimes. I find that turning the physical pages of a book offers a tactile experience that screens just cannot replicate, which helps me stay focused on the narrative.
I genuinely love it because it broadens my horizons significantly. By exploring different genres, I am exposed to diverse cultures and philosophies, which encourages me to think more critically about the world around me.
To be honest, I dedicate about thirty minutes to reading every single evening before bed. It has become a non-negotiable part of my bedtime routine, helping me drift off to sleep much faster than if I were scrolling on my phone.
Aside from novels, I often skim through long-form journalistic articles or biographies. These pieces provide deep insights into current affairs or the lives of influential figures, which I find far more stimulating than the quick snippets of news on social media.

Usually about ten to twelve, over four to five minutes: a few on your work, study or home, then three or four short questions on each of two everyday topics.
Two or three sentences, about 15 to 20 seconds: a direct answer, a reason and one detail. One-word answers cost fluency marks, and long speeches eat into the examiner's time.
