Circuses questions with sample answers

1

Have you ever been to a circus?

Yes, I have, though it's been quite a while. I remember going to a travelling circus that set up a big top in my hometown about ten years ago. It was an evening show, and I went along with my cousins, which made it really memorable.

2

Did you enjoy circuses when you were a child?

Absolutely, I loved them. As a kid, I was completely fascinated by the bright lights and the sheer spectacle of it all. I used to be terrified of the clowns, to be honest, but the acrobats and jugglers totally made up for that.

3

What kind of circus acts do you find most interesting?

I'd say the aerialists and trapeze artists are my absolute favourites. Watching people perform breathtaking stunts high above the ground without a safety net is just incredible. It takes an immense amount of discipline and physical strength, which I really admire.

4

Are circuses popular in your country?

Not as much as they used to be, I think. Traditional circuses with animals have largely fallen out of favour due to animal welfare concerns. However, modern, theatrical acrobatic shows still tend to draw decent crowds whenever they tour the bigger cities.

5

Would you like to see a circus performance in the future?

Definitely, especially one of those contemporary shows that focus on storytelling, music, and human acrobatics. There's a well-known international troupe that tours occasionally, and I'd jump at the chance to book tickets if they perform near me.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
