Jackets questions with sample answers

1

Do you often wear a jacket?

Yes, pretty much every day when it is chilly outside. I live in a fairly breezy city, so I rarely leave my flat without throwing something on. In fact, I have got a lightweight windbreaker that I keep right by the front door just to slip on before running errands.

2

What kind of jackets do you prefer to wear?

I tend to lean towards denim jackets because they are remarkably versatile. You can dress them up or keep things casual, and they seem to last forever. I bought a dark blue one a couple of years ago, and it is still my go-to layer for meeting friends.

3

How many jackets do you own?

Probably around four or five in total. I try not to clutter my wardrobe, so I just keep a heavy winter coat, a waterproof raincoat, and a couple of lighter zip-up jackets. That way, I am fairly well prepared for whatever the weather throws at me.

4

Did you wear a jacket to school when you were a child?

Yes, I did, because our school uniform actually required a formal blazer during the colder terms. To be honest, I found it quite stiff and uncomfortable at the time, especially when playing football during breaktime, but we were not allowed to take it off in the corridors.

5

Do you prefer buying jackets online or in a shop?

Definitely in a physical shop. With outerwear, the fit across the shoulders and the sleeve length are really crucial, and you cannot properly judge fabric quality on a screen. I like to try a few sizes on in front of a mirror before committing to a purchase.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
