Mountains questions with sample answers

1

Do you like mountains?

Yes, definitely. I find them incredibly peaceful and majestic. Whenever life in the city gets too overwhelming, looking at towering peaks or walking along high trails just helps clear my head. It is a fantastic way to disconnect from daily stress.

2

Have you ever visited a mountainous area?

I have, quite a few times actually. A couple of years ago, I went on a holiday to the Scottish Highlands with some close friends. We stayed in a small rented cottage surrounded by rugged hills, and the scenery was absolutely stunning.

3

What do you usually do when you go to the mountains?

Well, mostly trekking and taking landscape photos. I am not really into extreme sports like rock climbing, to be honest. I much prefer finding a quiet trail, walking for a few hours, and stopping for a picnic near a scenic viewpoint.

4

Do you prefer spending time near the sea or in the mountains?

That is a tough call, but I would probably lean towards the mountains. While the beach is lovely for sunbathing, coastal resorts can get overly crowded in the summer. Mountains tend to be far quieter, and the crisp, fresh air is unbeatable.

5

Would you like to live in a mountainous region in the future?

Perhaps when I retire, but not right now. Living somewhere remote can be quite inconvenient, especially in winter when roads get blocked by heavy snow. I think I would rather just visit for a short break rather than settle down there permanently.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
