Shopping questions with sample answers

1

Is shopping a popular activity in your country?

It is certainly a major pastime here. Most people flock to massive air-conditioned shopping malls on weekends, primarily because they provide an escape from the heat and offer everything from cinemas to international food courts all under one roof.

2

Do you like shopping?

I actually find it quite therapeutic, especially after a taxing week at work. Browsing through local boutiques allows me to switch off and decompress, though I generally prefer shopping for quality items rather than just aimlessly buying things.

3

What type of shopping do you like?

I am a big fan of visiting independent bookshops and vintage clothing stores. I really value the unique atmosphere and the chance to discover one-of-a-kind treasures that you simply would not find in mainstream high-street chains.

4

Do you compare prices when you shop? Why?

Yes, I make it a point to check various websites before making any significant purchase. It is a sensible habit because it prevents me from overspending and ensures I am getting the best possible value for my hard-earned money.

5

Is it difficult for you to make choices when you shop?

To be honest, I can be quite indecisive when faced with too many options. I often find myself standing in the aisle for ages, weighing up the pros and cons of different brands before I finally feel confident enough to commit.

6

What type of shops do teenagers like best in your country?

Young people here seem to gravitate towards trendy streetwear brands and fast-fashion outlets. They are heavily influenced by social media trends, so they tend to shop at places that update their collections frequently to match the latest viral styles.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
