You are speaking to a staff member at the student fitness suite desk. You broke your wrist last month and could not use your annual gym pass for six weeks. You have a doctor's certificate and want to ask if they can extend your membership accordingly. What would you say to the staff member?

You both plan to play tennis this Friday afternoon, but you realise your racket strings are broken and sports shops are closed for refurbishment. You are calling the campus recreation bookings office. Your departmental society has reserved the sports hall for a badminton tournament on Saturday morning from nine until noon, but half of the participants cannot arrive before ten because of train disruptions. You want to move the booking to ten until one. What would you say?
