IDP states that IELTS on computer is now the only format offered in Pakistan. Its centres cover Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, Burewala, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Jhelum, Karachi, Lahore, Mandi Bahauddin, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Sialkot and Sheikhupura, with results in one to five days.

Australia's Proficient English adds 10 points and Superior (IELTS 8.0 each) adds 20; both must be achieved in the three years before the visa application. Canada accepts only IELTS General Training for Express Entry and the result must be under two years old. UK universities typically ask 6.0 to 6.5 for undergraduate and 6.5 to 7.0 for postgraduate study.

PKR 76,240 in Lahore and Faisalabad and PKR 75,600 in Islamabad, Karachi and Hyderabad for IELTS on computer; PKR 78,820 for IELTS for UKVI and PKR 53,000 for Life Skills. IDP, AEO and the British Council publish the same two test rates, each with its own city list (see the table above).

How much is the IELTS One Skill Retake fee in Pakistan?+

PKR 48,050 in Lahore and Faisalabad and PKR 47,630 at other IDP and AEO centres; the UKVI One Skill Retake is PKR 48,000. The British Council offers One Skill Retake but does not publish the fee on its Pakistan site.

Is the British Council IELTS fee different from IDP in Pakistan?+

Not for the test itself: both charge PKR 75,600 or 76,240 depending on the city, PKR 78,820 for UKVI and PKR 53,000 for Life Skills. The remark fee differs slightly (PKR 39,650 at the British Council, PKR 40,500 at IDP), and so does the refund if you cancel 15 or more days ahead (PKR 57,200 versus 57,240 or 56,600).

Is paper-based IELTS still available in Pakistan?+

What IELTS score do Pakistani students need for the UK?+

B2 for a Skilled Worker or degree-level Student visa: IELTS for UKVI 5.5 in each skill. Universities usually ask 6.0 to 6.5 undergraduate and 6.5 to 7.0 postgraduate.

IELTS or PTE for Australia PR from Pakistan?+
