Gifts questions with sample answers

1

When did you last receive a gift?

I was actually given a thoughtful present just last week for my birthday. A close friend of mine surprised me with a high-quality fountain pen, which was incredibly considerate since she knows how much I enjoy writing by hand in my daily journal.

2

Do you ever take a gift when you visit someone in their home?

It is standard practice for me to bring something small whenever I am invited over for dinner. Usually, I pick up a box of artisanal chocolates or a nice bouquet of flowers, as I believe it is a polite gesture to show appreciation for the host's hospitality.

3

Do you enjoy looking for gifts for people?

Hunting for the perfect item can be quite a rewarding experience, although it is often time-consuming. I genuinely enjoy the process of brainstorming what someone might need or appreciate, as it makes the eventual moment of giving them the present feel much more meaningful and personal.

4

Have you ever received a great gift?

One of the most memorable presents I have ever opened was a vintage camera from my grandfather. It was a sentimental piece that he had used for decades, and receiving such a unique item felt like being entrusted with a piece of family history.

5

Have you ever sent handmade gifts to others?

I have occasionally crafted bespoke presents when I have the spare time to be creative. Last winter, I knitted a woollen scarf for my sister, and seeing her wear something that I had spent hours making by hand was a deeply satisfying experience.

6

When do people give gifts or presents in your country?

Gift-giving is most common during major annual festivities like Christmas and New Year, but people also exchange tokens of affection on birthdays or weddings. Beyond these traditional celebrations, it is also customary to bring small offerings when visiting someone's home for the first time.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
