Piano String Replacement Stages

Grand Piano Restringing Procedure. Stage 1: Remove old wire and measure gauge. Stage 2: Clean soundboard and inspect bridge. Stage 3: Seat hitch pins and apply protective felt. Stage 4: Thread new steel wire through agraffes. Stage 5: Attach wire to tuning pins and coil. Stage 6: Apply initial tension and tune to pitch.
